Q:

Dear Mommy, my name is Morgan. I have written to you before
and thank you for your kindness and understanding. I am so happy that
you are here for us. I live alone with my daughter who is 7-years old. I have a little incontinent so I wear diapers mostly of the time. My daughter is a healthy cute girl and she is not sick in anyway but she
have strong diaper feelings. Before I have notice that her underwear was bigger in someway but first I don’t think so much about it. But then I feel what it was when she sat on my knees, it was her diapers from when she was little. First I didn’t say anything because you know maybe kids do this sometimes. But she still wear them and she has her own diaper corner in her room to play with. When I thinking about how to tell her that I know she did it herself one day with only a t-shirt and diaper and then I said: Do I know this baby girl and she became so calm because she said to me that she think I was going to get mad. I want her diaper feelings to be so good at possible so I wondered what do you say? She only pee in the diapers but when she is outside she can be to much excited about it. What do you think about when she come and talk and act like a baby? She wear a diaper even when she sleep and she enjoy to feel the diaper before she is sleeping. I must say that even I sometimes feel and touch my diaper and I also think that diapers is something nice and comfortable. There is one thing that I have explain to her and that is when she need diaper change she must change herself and that is going find. Thank you so much and do have any other ideas so please tell. Is there anything else I hope I can wright back to you who really understand.

A:

Hello Morgan,

In the first place your daughter is lucky in the fact that you understand her feelings and are not making her feel bad about it. Most parents humiliate or punish their children for wanting to wear diapers.  You said she sometimes pees in them. When she is not wearing does she use the bathroom normally? I only ask because I always advise parents to have their child looked at by a doctor to make sure there is no medical reason for them peeing. You didn't mention her mother- if she is in the picture I hope she is supportive. As far as what to say to your daughter- tell her you love her and that you understand her feelings. That's its okay around Daddy to be that way. She needs to know you love her no matter what. I think you are handling the situation well. Make sure you teach her that cleaning well between changes is very important- she's too sweet to get a rash! I am glad we can be of some help to you. Good luck with your daughter. Take care!

Q:

Hi I what to know where I can buy and adult crib from I found  a web site called www.babyapparels.com but the price are so high so I what to know if you know any other site the sell adult baby cribs im 5'10'' and 155 pounds

A:

Hello Matthew,

Most adult baby furniture is quite expensive. That is why Stanley has crib plans on-line that he sells. It is a rather easy and much less expensive project. Only basic skills are involved- you need to know how to drill and screw nails. You can have all the wood pieces pre-cut at the store. And for around $100 - $150 in wood you can have a crib! You can customize any way you want- paint, stencil, stain whatever. Actually these plans are quite popular- you get a crib for a fraction of the cost of the pre-made ones. Good luck with your crib!

Q:

Mommy first I would like to thank you first for all you advice.  It has been very helpful. However I still have a few questions that I will ask as separate posts. Here’s the first one, but I'll start out with some background. Currently I am an ab/dl who wears disposable diapers for night time accidents. I started listening to the diaper station hypnotic CD to wet and mess while diapered. Understandably this may not work, but since I make a conscious effort at night to poop and pee, the body might adapt and start doing it on it's own while I sleep.  This leads me to my first question. What should I prepare myself for having night time accidents, especially since I have not unconsciously had accidents at night since I was too young to remember. As a follow up; if I poop while I'm asleep, and don’t realize before I wake in the morning, is it ok to have my bottom exposed to the poop for that long?  Is it normal for a baby to poop and not wake up till later?

A:

Hello Embarrased,

The only preparation for night time wetting/pooping is a waterproof mattress protector. We don't generally approve of people forcing themselves to go. We have heard many stories of people who were successful- only to regret later when they realized they could not regain control. It is of course your decision that being said if your body becomes trained to 'let go and release' it is possible to sleep through it. Of course by morning it would by then be not only starting to harden it would be quite cold. And yes prolonged exposure could lead to a rash -exposure to a wet diaper even quicker. Babies in general are changed frequently so they sleep only feeling the warmth. They are changed before it starts to harden and get cold. As an adult you would need to make sure to change often- no more than a few hours. Diaper rash is not fun! I hope this helps.

Q:

Mommy here is the second question. Since I will be new to wearing diapers every night, instead of once in a while, I'm more concerned about diaper rash. I don not have an AB mommy to check this since I change myself. How should I determine if I have it since I can't visually expect my entire bottom for the outward signs. Can it appear between the testes and the anus or is it more on the butt cheeks? I use Vaseline instead of the desitin you recommended. I do this since Vaseline lasts longer. How can I determine if I'm starting to get it? Will it be noticeable at first?

A:

Hello Embarrased,

If you have a diaper rash you will know! Urine is an acid.  Diaper rash is actually an acid burn. Vaseline is a good choice for a protective coating. The most important thing is to clean thoroughly!  Wash everywhere- over under and in between. A rash can appear anywhere that is not clean and protected. Wash and then powder or use a lotion/cream or your vaseline. If an area starts to feel a little sore get Balmex- its good for many skin problems. You are off to a great start! Happy diapering.

Q:

I'm a little embarrassed to even ask this question, but here goes anyway. I'm not even sure if you will be able to help on this one.  For us little boys ab/dl's there is a natural reaction when we fall asleep in diapers. This could create quite a mess when we have accidents while asleep. Since I may have more accidents at night I want to make sure I have all my bases covered. As a boy the warmth of the diaper causes my pee pee to become partially erect. When this happens I position it straight up, but I heard if you pee you could create quite a mess on your sheets. With your medical background do you know if it is possible to pee like that when the pee pee is erect? If it is should I by plastic sheets or will the diaper be able to handle the pee in that area of the diaper?

A:

Hello Embarrased,

My suggestion is to get a protective mattress cover. Usually as long as the diaper is not too tight there is room for 'movement'.  Toward the top of most diapers is where they are the thinnest.  If a stream was directed in that direction they would probably be some leakage. So the mattress protector would be a back-up. The reaction of which you speak is quite common even in baby boys. So don't be embarrassed. Ask questions and be prepared just like you are doing. Hope I've helped you out.

Q:

dear mommy,

Could you please help. I was wondering if I get enough nutrition
eating just my baby food, and drinking my formula? I never feel hungry, but is their certain baby foods I should be eating.
                      thank you,
                            sissy

A:

Hello Sissy,

Baby food is only nutritionally complete for babies. You might not feel hungry but your body is missing out on some nutrients. Also never use iron enriched formula it is too much for an adult- use regular formula. You need to eat a few well-balanced adult meals -at least one full meal every other day. Also use nutritional supplements.  As wonderful as some of the baby foods are they are just not made to sustain an adult. Hope this helps give you guidelines to follow. Good luck.

Q:

Dear Mommy, I need help finding a place to live. I am not able to
work full time due to my health conditions. I wear diapers 24/7 and
sometimes I’m just in too much pain to change myself. if you could please help me find a permanent babysitter/nanny to live with that would be great. I prefer one that will treat me like a baby all the time, and the sitter/nanny must be female.  Sleeping in a crib, having my diapers changed, bottle/breastfeeding is what I really want. If I could work full time I would never be asking such help from anybody, please write when you can, Wes

A:

Hello Wes,

Unfortunately Wes we are not a roommate finder site. There are very few babysitters/nannies available out there. You would need to search on-line until you find one. Does your medical insurance cover at-home care?  Perhaps you could at least get an aide to come in and help you occasionally. Perhaps you have family nearby that could look in on you? It is not the scenario you desire but while you look for that babysitter/nanny it would be nice to get some help with your medical condition. Sorry we couldn't help more but I wish you all the luck.

Q:

Hello there. I send in a questions a couple of weeks ago but I got this injury so I had to be in hospital for two weeks I got to have a catheter and maybe the second day I was in the hospital they but and enema type of thing and then put a diaper on me(one of the best moments in my life) so I couldn’t check if you had responded so I was thinking of asking again.

all the way since I was at kindergarten I have been wanting to wear diapers when I was a lot younger I asked my dad if he could put e in diapers again but he said no way, then when I was maybe 7 I stopped wanting diapers but then when I was maybe 11 I started to want to wear diapers again and I still want to.

my mom & dad are divorced and me and my mom get along great we are like best friends I think that she would maybe get diapers to me if I told her that I’m an DL. Should I tell her cause I don’t think she will get angry and force me into diapers at school or send me to a therapist?

And I got another question also! Several times at day I feel that it’s wrong to wear diapers and I shouldn’t want to wear them. Is it wrong? Please answer as soon as possible because I really want to wear diapers and the only way is to tell mom because baby diapers don’t fit on me and I live in Sweden and there is no store that has adult diapers in my town

Thx for your help!

A:

You know your mom the best. If she is an accepting person perhaps you could try. You might first tell her about a friend who wants to wear diapers if she thinks thats wierd- thats your clue to not say anything. You might have to work on your dad for a while. i don't think it's strange to want to wear diapers. I think it's all about feeling safe and comfortable. If you don't want to wear sometimes during the day- fine. We have some members that wear only when they are at home. They wear theirs only part time. Maybe that is an option you could look into. Here in the US our pharmacies carry diapers. Check there and see if they carry any. There are also many good on-line diaper companies that have wonderful products. I hope I have helped you. Good luck.

Dear mommie,

First let me tell you how very much I love your advice. Here is my question. I am an adult sissy baby that is no longer ashamed or scared to wear diapers 24/7. so I must have been a sissy during my childhood for me to feel this way. I am looking for the most babyish style diaper out there that fits adults. Please help. They must have leg and waist gatherers and baby print would be heaven. Thank you

A:

Hello Mark,

There are many good adult diapers out there. unfortunately they don't have baby prints on them. That is why we have in our site mall 'diaper decal tapes'. They go across the front of your diaper- mucj like the brand name baby diapers. We have an assortment of designs form baby blocks to teddy bears to a bottle and pacifier. Prices start at $4.50 US. Check it out.

Q:

Hi mommy. I have some more questions that I could use your help on. Since I am inexperienced in dealing with babies I look to you for advice about wearing diapers again. I noticed on one of your previous posts you recommended a changing pad to someone. Since I am an AB/DL who has night time accidents of pooping and peeing (still through conscious effort) do I need one for my morning change? How would it help? Secondly, have been thinking of using cloth diapers as well as disposables. Is there something special you need to do before you put a soiled cloth diaper in a diaper pail? How long should you allow them to sit in the diaper pale before you wash them? Also how long should you let disposables to sit in the diaper pail before you throw them out, and is the smell bad for you? I'm sure other questions will come to me as I become more accident prone at night. Well have to go to the store to get more diapers. Thanks a bunch for all your help to the inexperienced.

A:

Hello Embarrassed,

A changing pad is a barrier so that your bed doesn't get soiled while changing. Remember you are letting everything out from the diaper when you open it. As for cloth diapers- it's a good idea to flush any solid waste down the toilet. You should rinse the diaper out. A diaper pail with a solution of water and bleach should be available to store soiled diapers until wash day. Every 2-3 day or sooner is best. For disposables in the trash that same day if possible. The smell from used diapers is ammonia and is not a good thing to be inhaling. Hope this gets you started. Good luck.

Q:

I enjoy wearing my diapers a lot and really enjoy wetting them also and have been into the golden shower scene for quite some time..I have recently met a guy who also enjoys the peeing aspect and seeing me in diapers and we often enjoy peeing together usually when I am wearing my diapers...lately he has asked to pee into my mouth and although I have never had anyone do it to me I was wondering if it would be harmful to me in any way if I let him do it and even swallow it (I sometimes have bleeding gums)...will it get into the bloodstream...

A:

Hello Baby Kimmy,

There is usually not that much danger involved as long as both participants are healthy.  Urine is a waste product and carries all the 'stuff' your body needs to get rid of.  If you have a weak immune system and your friend is sick with any virus/bacteria it is possible to pass the germs. This is a rare occurrence but just be forewarned.  As long as you are both reasonably healthy there shouldn't be a problem.

Q:

dearest mommie, I was wondering. has anyone done research as to why I have these tendencies to be a sissy, and wear diapers and little girl style panties as well as being punished (spanked, timeouts, long periods standing in the corner). just overall being a big baby? I don't think my childhood was like that I was potty trained, but did mess my pants for about a year when I was 13 or 14, but wasn't punished for it. just wondering where this all came from. I am happy being a sissy though and wearing my diapers. thank you, sissy

A:

Hello Mark,

There has been research on people's tendencies.  Their conclusion--no one knows why.  Is it environment or heredity?  Who knows. In my humble opinion if it is something that makes you happy then it is right for you. The whys and how's don't really matter.  This world is difficult to live in.  If you can find a way to get a ray of sunshine shining on you- go for it.  As for being a sissy- I have some sissy friends and they love the idea of getting all dressed in the frills and stuff.  We even have fashion shows- it is funny big exec and body builder types all dressed in pink lace! We have a ball and that's what it is all about.  So enjoy being a sissy and don't worry about the 'why?' just be happy.

Q:

It's me again mommy. I'm still trying to learn what it means to be a baby. Just to refresh you memory I'm a boy AB/dl who has night time accidents of peeing and pooping. Sometimes I just wear a diaper to bed and sometimes I were a onesie over top of my diaper. I'm still a unsure of necessary diapering supplies I need. What diapering supplies are necessary? I know some of them, but I want to see if I'm missing anything a little boys mommy would provide and use. Also how many diapers should I stock in my changing drawer? I use disposables only right now. Thank you for your gentleness and understanding.

A:

Hello Embarrassed,

Let's tackle the first part of your question.  Supplies.  The most important part of diapering is to clean thoroughly! Some go in the shower, others use baby wipes.  Whichever method wash very well and dry well. Rashes start with moisture.  After drying use either a cream such as Balmex or A & D ointment.  We have one member who swears by Vaseline.  The idea is to have a protective barrier on your skin.  If you don't prefer creams then powder is a must.  I recommend corn starch powder.  It helps keep the skin dry.  As for others items- a diaper bag to hold supplies, diaper pins (for cloth), used supermarket bags (to store any used diapers until you get home or to a trash can) To answer the second part of your question- how many diapers?  That depends on you.  If you are a heavy wetter you would probably need to change maybe 3 times or more a day.  If you are a light sprinkler then maybe only once or twice. It also depends on the absorbency of the product you are using.  I hope this helps you and I wish you all the luck.

Q:

Mommy its me again, I hope your not getting tired of my questions, but it helps me the inexperienced. As an AB/dl, who has night time accidents of pooping and peeing, I need advice on changing myself. Is there a proper way to change a baby like myself?  Should I remove all my clothes accept for the diaper before I change myself, or can I roll my shirt/onesie up to my chest? Do I slide the diaper from under my bottom, or start by cleaning around my pee pee before sliding it out from under me?  Should I clean the entire diaper area, or just the dirty parts?  These are just a few questions I have.  Can you please guide me through the proper changing process from beginning to end.

A:

Hello Embarrassed,

To answer your question if the mess is not too bad you can just roll up your shirt/onesie to your chest and proceed to clean the entire area- not just the dirty parts the entire area.  My suggestion is to remove as much of the mess as you can before removing the diaper then proceed to clean. If it is a large mess I would just go in the shower and strip down and bathe. As I have said before it is important to clean everywhere.  Happy diapering.

Q:

Dear Mommy. I wear diapers at night because I wet the bed. But my parents don’t really know about it. How would I tell them about it. And how do I keep it a secret from my friends when I spend the night at someone’s house. Or when someone spends the night at my house. I home that you can help me.

A:

Hello Brian,

I recommend Goodnites for the night time wetting. They are as close to underwear as possible so as to not draw attention to the product. As far as telling your parents of your wetting, Gather up as much information as you can find about your wetting problem and sit down with your parents. I also recommend you ask to see your doctor about it. Hope that helps.
