Q:

I would like a mommy to changed my nappy wear. Can you find one from and could you tell me wear I can get adult nappy lovers magazines, from I wear disposable nappys?

A:

Dear Clare,

We have an excellent place where you can start your search for a mommy....our Mommy Finder section on our main site. Go to where you live or the closest place, make a few calls and ask for any other known mommies in the area. Hopefully you will make that match. I am not aware of any AB magazines as such but I will look for you. Good luck.

Question Asked By: Todd
Age: 21

Q:

What causes a diaper fetish and what do I do about it? I think it was caused during my childhood. I have a great memory so I have many memories of my toddler years going back to the age of two. So that includes memories of wearing diapers and being changed which are positive memories I would say. I wore them pretty late by normal standards. I wasn't completely potty trained until I was four. And I wet the bed until I was five so I wore pull-ups until I was five. I sometimes used them when I wasn't supposed to like at night I would use them on purpose since they were in my drawer. I remember having positive connotations and memories with diapers which has led to a fetish with them. I have a theory that it was caused by late toilet training, do you agree? I don't really have a problem with the fetish except I do have anxiety over it since I'm afraid I won't be able to find a life-long partner that will accept it and I'm working through that now.

A:

Dear Todd

There are as many reasons why people like diapers as there are people. You just might be correct- it could be because of the positive memories. The idea that is going around is that the like/love of diapers and baby items (AB/DL) seem to occur between the ages of 5-7, sometimes later that involve being in diapers for a extended amount of time past normal age of potty training. And being in diapers for bed wetting, or threatened to be put in diapers for accidents can cause it. At least that's the thinking as far as a possible cause.

The bottom line is whatever the reason as long as you are happy, it's all okay. Don't worry about finding someone- we have members happily married and with kids who wear when the kids go to bed or while the kids are at school. The only job you have to do is to be as happy as possible. Good luck in everything you do.

Question Asked By: Anthony
Age: 21

Q:

Dear Mommy Sandra I have been bed wetting my whole life. I wear diapers day and night because of day time accidents too. What should I do?

A:

Dear Anthony,

To find out what possible you might have, I would discuss it with your doctor. Besides diapers there are some medications that might help. As well as depending on the reason for your wetting, they may be some exercises you can strengthen your bladder and help with the situation. Have a open discussion with your doctor about other ways to manage your wetting. That's why they are there. They are trained for situations like this. Good Luck.

Question Asked By: Baby Logie
Age: 15

Q:

Dear mommy,

Thanks for the last times, but I got another problem. One of my grandmothers wants me to stay the night and the last time I did I wet the bed and then the night after I didn't. How can I convince her to either put me in diapers for the night or if ask how and when should I ask her. She's very understanding, caring, loving, and has good cash. And she has a playpen, highchair and sippy cups for my baby cousins when they come to visit. She has a new husband and he has the same characteristics. My little sister is staying the night this time to she's 7. So should I tell her I'm wearing a diaper and then tell her I'll be the baby for house ( the game ) and she can be the mommy and we could use that stuff. But how do I tell my gram? And what are some of the thickest diapers I could buy at Sobeys? And if I buy baby diaper what are the most stretchiest? Another idea I had was if I wear a diaper to bed and in the morning cry about it and keep calling my self a baby and sitting in the high chair telling her to treat me like a baby? Please help! It would mean the world to me! Thanks

A:

Dear Baby Logie,

If your grandma is understanding, perhaps you can call your grandma on the phone and tell her you have bed wetting problems from time to time and would like to wear Goodnites at her house while you are there for the 2 days just to be safe. I doesn't sound like she would have a problem with that. I wouldn't tell your sister about it. She's too young and probably would not keep that secret that you are wearing the Goodnites. And I don't think it would be a good idea to play house with your sister and you as the baby in diapers playing with the baby things at your grandma's house. And if you cry about wearing the diapers and call yourself a baby your grandma would probably take you out of the Goodnites or diapers and just go with a plastic sheet on the bed trying to make you feel better and not to have to wear diapers "like a baby". As for the store Sobeys, I have not heard of it before. But typically the "overnight" diapers such as the "Huggies Overnight" are typically thicker as to hold more urine for a full night's sleep for the baby. But those diapers typically only go up to size 4 or 5. Good luck.

Question Asked By: Kevin
Age: 50

Q:

I have a big tiger that I take to bed with me and I like him to wear a nappy. When laying on the floor he is about 75cm high, 40cm wide and about 69cm in circumference. He can wear pampers size 4+, but they are tight on him. I would like him to wear a babies terry nappy and frilly waterproof pants, as I am a 2 year old adult baby girl and although I normally wear disposable, I do sometimes wear adult terry nappies and waterproof pants. Can you please tell me, what size of baby waterproof pants would I need for him to go over a babies terry nappy? Thank you.

A:

Dear Kevin,

Doing some research I would recommend going with plastic pants for a baby of 12 months. Maybe a bit larger. It's hard to know for sure. Sleep well with your Tiger.

Question Asked By: Pampermew
Age: 68

Q:

Radical cancer surgery left me with stress incontinence and wearing "male guards" (pads) which have a plastic backing that holds in moisture. Recently switched to disposable underwear that breathes better and does not bind or twist, but looks like "training pants" worn by children. Is there anything else that would work as well and not be such a turn-off to women who discover my problem?

A:

Dear Pampermew,

Sadly there are not too many products when it comes to disposable underwear. You could try upgrading to a full diaper. We like the Unique Wellness diapers because not only can they handle a lot of wetness, but because the plastic backing is thicker the diaper doesn't crinkle like the cheaper brands. And the absorbent material material doesn't break apart and clump up like other cheaper brands. The bottom line is, your not a baby or toddler. Your being responsible by using the right products for you to manage your problem. That's far from being a baby. Good Luck.

Question Asked By: Baby F

Q:

Dear mommy how can I get myself to drink more water? There's times I don't have no drink all day. I know I should. My Dr. told me I should have 7 9oz bottles per day, but I can't stop playing long enough to drink it. What should I do? Love Baby Floyd. Go go.

A:

Dear Baby F,

There are a few options. You can get the fluid from eating fruits such as watermelons. Anything with a high juice content. Also you can try adding several ice cubs to anything your drinking. But you most likely just need to buckle down and drink the water. That's part of life. We sometimes need to do things we may not like. Babies don't like taking their medications, but they need to.

Question Asked By: Pretty Baby Jessica
Age: 18

Q:

Ask Mommy, I am new to this lifestyle and I am interested in more information about AB/DL, TB, diapers and such. I was wondering if there's a place to go and find out more about this lifestyle. I would be an AB or TB but I'm unsure the difference between the two. I think I would enjoy the lifestyle but I am still unsure, is there a way to ease into this lifestyle? Thank you. Pretty Baby Jessica

A:

Dear Pretty Baby Jessica,

We have a detailed article on what AB, TB, DL's are here:
http://www.bedwettingabdl.com/WhatIsAnABDL.html. The main difference between AB's and TB's is only age. Anyone under 18 is a TB or Teen Baby. Anyone over the age of 18 would be a AB or Adult Baby. To ease into being a Teen Baby I would start out simple with just diapers, maybe a pacifier or baby bottle. Then add to your baby things as you see fit. Good Luck.

Question Asked By: Levister Hollinsworth Jr
Age: 22

Q:

Dear AB Mommy, I have been an adult baby all my life. I'll be 23 years old in May. When I get a girl tired of being a virgin, how do I let that girl/women know that I want to be my mommy and change me and breast feed me? PS I live in Buffalo and I am African American. I know you get it's hard to find a mommy, but how do you tell a girl/ women that your an AB and that you want her to regress you?

A:

Dear Levister Hollinsworth Jr,

All you can do is try to find a girl that you connect with and hope that she will accept this side of you. Not everyone will. Try to post your profile online on a AB/DL site so you will have a better chance to find a woman that is also into the AB/DL lifestyle. You might find someone who is willing to change diapers, but very few are willing to breastfeed a AB. As for telling a woman that your AB, I would sit her down and explain that you relax by role playing as a baby or toddler and ask if she willing to role play with you from time to time. Don't pressure her into it or make her feel guilty if she doesn't want to role play as your mommy. Good Luck

Question Asked By: David G
Age: 15

Q:

Dear Mommy, I have two questions:

I'm hoping to buy diapers and plastic pants in the near future and I saw that some plastic pants have frilly stuff on them. They had some in blue so I assumed it was for boys, but I don't know if that's a good idea or not. Are they ok for a straight baby to use?

Also, I was wondering about sissy outfits: I don't want anything in pink, but are sissy rompers and baby bonnets in general something of a transgender or girly nature? some of them look really nice, but I don't know if I should wear any if I'm not a girl. Could you please help me? Thanks xoxoxox David

A:

Dear David G,

About the plastic pants, all plastic pants with ruffles are made for girls. Generally plain plastic pants, or ones with pictures of trucks or planes are for boys. Sissy rompers are just as named, they are made for sissy babies (boys dressed as girls). But they have boy rompers too. Baby bonnets are can be for boys or girls depending on what's on it. Ones with ribbons and such are for girls. Plain blue or white ones and such are for boys. Good Luck.

Question Asked By: Logie Bear
Age: 15

Q:

So I started to steal my little brothers pampers size 5 and wearing them when ever I can but I'm scared of my parents finding out, what are other diapers that would fit better but also look and feel very babyish? And after I use them where can I get rid of them when I have super nosey parents?

Last question, I got dared to wear a diaper and use it and then go on the beach and ask someone to change me. I also have to bring a backpack with a clean diaper and powder. Should I do it and if the person I ask says they will, do I let them? Are there changing rooms at the beach and changing tables?

Last question again :P I'm 113 pounds, would I be to heavy for a changing table that you see everywhere that comes out of the wall at public places? Thanks please write back !

A:

Dear Logie Bear,

There are many good diapers out on the market. You could try the pull-ups, they might work for you. Or perhaps the Goodnites as they fit kids who weigh up to 125 pounds. As for getting rid of the diapers, try this, use a store plastic bag to wrap each individual used diaper in (so if any odor it's contained) and put in garbage can outside. If not in the house, less chance of being noticed. I would be very cautious about that dare. Can this person be trusted? All you need is to be teased in a public place like the beach. If they can be trusted you could give it a try but I wouldn't use the changing table on the wall- they are designed for infants and the most they can hold is maybe 50 pounds. So in your backpack include a blanket or a mat of some kind to lay on. Good luck.

Question Asked By: Embarrassed
Age: 16

Q:

Hello, I have been experimenting wearing diapers for only a short space of time, on and off. However the main reason for me hesitating to wear them is because I have a fear that if I wear diapers I will loose control and not be able to control when I wet. So my question is, is this likely to happen? I only wear them occasionally, mostly only on weekends, but never for more than a few hours. Please help, thanks.

A:

Dear Embarrassed,

It's mind over matter. You can wear them as long as your not using them. Your mind won't be trained to use the diapers, your mind will still be trained to use the toilet. As long as your remember that, you can wear them. Wetting the diaper once in awhile is fine, just as long as your not wetting/using them all the time you should be fine. Good luck.

Question Asked By: Chris
Age: 20

A:

Dear mommy, I have a few questions to ask. I'm 20 and from PA. I'm thin for my age and I like to wear all types of diapers. I'm especially interested in baby diapers. My question is what baby diaper do you recommend? And what size diaper would you recommend for a teenager?. I also was wondering if you knew any tips to prevent diaper tears/rips. I didn't see any advise on that topic. I've been looking to find more of a vintage baby diaper. I remember wearing plastic diapees with little tape designs as a kid and wanted to know if you knew where I could find diapers or similar ones to those. I'm not sure but they may have had the Muppets or bears on them, possibly Pampers? Any how I'd love to have your motherly advise and if you could email me also that be great thanks. Love Chris.

A:

Dear Chris,

Your best bet is to buy a adult diaper you prefer and use a peel and stick babyish tape called Diaper Tapes that can be put on any plastic backing adult diaper or plastic pants. The Diaper Tape Superstore is located at: http://tapes.homestead.com/index.html. They also have a area on the Diaper Tape website where you can order custom diaper tapes. They can't do Muppets, because they are copyright. But they can do bears and such.

Another option for already printed babyish diapers is from Bambino's. Their website is located at: http://bambinodiapers.com/about_teddy_diapers. They have a teddy bear print on white adult diapers with a plastic outer cover. Bambino's has a few other patterns as well. The only issue with Bambino's is they are not cheap. At least with the diaper tapes, you can attach them to ANY plastic backed adult diaper you wish to use. Good luck.

I want to wear diapers but I don't want to tell my parents. Who should treat me like a baby?

A:

Dear Joe,

You don't have to share that with them. Your too big for baby diapers but you should be able to fit in Goodnites. As for someone babying you, your too young for a AB mommy. You will most likely have to wait until your 18. Unless a future mate is willing to do that with you. Good luck.

Question Asked By: Embarrassed
Age: 38

Q:

It's been a while mommy since I last posted here. I wanted to let you know I gave up my diapers for Lent. This tougher than I thought, as my inner 2 year old is taking a complete tantrum. This is pretty hard to ignore. I'm constantly reminded of my diaper life, from the plastic ruffling of my sheets to thick cute teddy bear print diapers in my diaper drawer. I have literally been dry for 3 weeks. Every dream I have at night includes me back in diapers (My last dream I got wear pink girl training pants where the protection is wrong for boys. Wonder what Froyd would have said about that dream.). Not sure if I will make it through the final 28 days, but I have been taking it a day at a time. The urge get's stronger with each week, as I know it would with a purge cycle. Much like a baby we have a need for diapers. Granted after the 28 days, it will be back to accidents, changing times, diaper rashes (sorry boys and girls you can't prevent them all), and running around in just a diaper. now that summer is upon us I've written many times about why we have a need, and I was hoping this journey would provide the answers, but I am no closer than figuring it out, accept that diapers are a part of my life. It's a deep rooted, most likely formed in our potty training world. Maybe we never succumbed to it even though are bodies did. In any case mommy wish me luck, and with the grace of the divine I hope to make it. By the way if I wet my sheets at night or have a diaper leak, do you need to wash the  plastic sheet as well? How many plastic sheets do I need? The sheet is a good one with fabric on top and a plastic layer underneath. How long do these type of sheets last.

PS: It feels like my inner 2 yr old has been stuck in a long time out. ;(

A:

Dear Embarrassed,

First of all, your quest to go without diapers for Lent is a very noble task. I commend you. It is very difficult for someone used to diapers to go without. As for the cause for wanting to wear diapers, it's a mystery. Why do some people like chocolate ice cream and others strawberry? As for the plastic sheet, since it has the pillow top cloth on it, you do need to wash it. Warm wash, and warm (lowest) heat setting to dry. You should have at least 2 plastic sheets, more if possible. As for how long they last, it depends on the maker and how you take care of them. Typically a 1-3 years. Take care and stay strong.

Question Asked By: Alvin
Age: 29

Q:

Hi, I am still a bedwetter and recently got tired of using a mattress protector and started wearing depends maximum protection and I am a side sleeper. How can I stop the diaper from side leaking? I tried the rubber sheets but to hot and uncomfy. Please let me know. Thanks and best regards.

A:

Dear Alvin,

You do still need a plastic sheet to protect the mattress because even the best diapers sometimes leak. If you don't have one already, you should see about buying a mattress protector that has a pillow topping. Another option is to take a extra sheet or two and double or tripple up the fitted sheet on your bed to help with air flow. As for side sleeping, sadly diapers just are not designed for side sleeping. You could try when you go to bed to reach down and point Mr Happy downward which many says helps. Good luck.

Q:

I bed wet rarely but I want to do it more often. How do I do it?

A:

Dear Sky,

There is no right answer for how often to wet the bed. Typically most bed wetters go 1-3 times per night depending on age and bladder size. We do have a program here to help those who wish to lose bladder control. The address for the bladder training program is:
http://www.bedwettingabdl.com/12_Month_Diaper_
Training_Program_For_Becoming_incontinent.html. But I would like to warn you that you can't just loose control at night with the program. You could have some break through day time accidents too. Good luck.

Question Asked By: Daniel
Age: 14

Q:

Hey Mommy, I have always been a Diaper Lover. I am a very fit teen. I swim competitively and have never talked to anyone about being and DL. I buy my own diapers and get very nervous doing so. I love baby disposables. I would like to know what kind of diaper/pull up I should wear? I am 5,10 and weigh 130. Also I am always home when my brothers are so I can't find much of a place to put my diaper on and take it off. What places would you suggest?

A:

Dear Daniel,

The only pull ups for someone your weight and size is Goodnites. I recommend getting the underwear/brief style though as the boxer shorts ones tend to leak. About where to put it on, perhaps the bathroom? The Goodnites and most baby diapers have a cloth outer cover and make little to no noise. So you should be able to slip/tape it on in the bathroom with no noise. You could always run the bathroom sink and if anyone asks say you had to brush your teeth? As for hiding places for your diapers, there is a new article on the site on how to get diapers and hiding places. You can read it by going to: http://www.bedwettingabdl.com/Getting_And_Hiding_Diapers.html. Good luck.

Question Asked By: Ryan
Age: 31

Q:

Hi, what products are best to use at change time. I currently just wipe and powder my bottom, but should I use a lotion or a cream or both? And if so which ones do you recommend? Thanks.

A:

Dear Ryan,

I highly recommend using corn starch baby powder as it helps cut down on the heat and sweat from being in diapers. Use wipes with every diaper change and no less than a daily shower and clean the diaper area well. As for lotion, that's a personal preference. And rash cream, normally it's put on for overnight diaper use, and if you mess your diapers, use with every diaper change. If you only just wet once in awhile, then you only need the rash cream when you have a active diaper rash starting. To help prevent diaper rash, if you can try to take off the diaper for 1-3 hours daily to let your bottom air out. Good luck.

Q:

Hello my name is Tony I'm an DL. I've always been into diapers when I was little I felt a weird good feeling that I couldn't describe feeling near diapers or wearing them but about a year ago I found out I'm not some diaper loving freak I'm not alone. So the question is should I tell my parents? Oh and does being a AB follow you your whole life?

A:

Dear Tony,

Only if your parents are open minded people should you discuss this lifestyle with your parents. If they not open minded and understanding, I would suggest keeping it to yourself. At least until your 18. Once your an adult, then I think you should be ok should you decide to tell them about this lifestyle. I am glad you found out that there are others who have interests in diapers and that your indeed not a freak. Being a AB does not have to follow you your whole life. When and where you choose to do AB things is totally up to you. Good luck.

Q:

Ok so I'm 12. I know this sounds you but I really need help. It's not a sexual problem or like that but if it can not be answer it's fine just try your best and please excuse my spelling and grammar. Ok so I've had this urge to wear diapers all my life and finally I spoke up to my mom. She said maybe trying on a diaper would help. So I tried it and I loved it. After that I threw away the diaper and the pack of diapers (mom made me). Now I have the urge to wear diapers more. I want to wear them so bad. Should I sneak them? Should I do what? Because I talked to my mom again and she said no. I'm not doing that ever again and I don't know if I can wait till I'm 16 to drive and sneak diapers. Please help.

A:

Dear Josiah,

The only way your going to be able to wear diapers before you turn 18 is to do it secretly. It sounds like your mom was hoping that if you tried on a diaper that you would lose interest. That wasn't the case though. You will most likely have to get diapers on your own by doing odd jobs, allowance money or recycling bottles and cans for the money. But be prepared that if your found out, your parents might punish you for doing it behind their backs. Just do the best you can and hopefully the next 6 years till you turn 18 will go by swiftly. Another possible option would be to take a kitchen trash bag and lay a towel or two on top of the bag and use duck tape to attach it to you. It's not the best, but it's something. Just be sure if you do use the towel and trash bag diapers to rinse the pee out of the towels very well in the hottest water you can stand before putting the towel in the laundry basket. Good luck.

Question Asked By: BabyGirl101
Age: 19

Q:

I live with my boyfriend, and I have bad acid reflux problems that whenever I get my acid reflux I throw up and it lasts for a two weeks.  I'm getting it looked at though. But my issue is that when I do get this acid reflux I loose both bowel and bladder control for the two weeks of me having it that's why I'm being looked at soon for it. So my boyfriend thought it would be a good idea to put me in diapers so there is no mess. He just left without saying anything, came back and looked at me and told me everything would be okay. And it was, but he picked me up like a baby, rocked me and laid me on the bed to put me in a diaper and treats me like one tickling me and patting me on my butt every chance he gets. He coos a lot calling me babygirl. I like diapers a lot, but I never told my boyfriend, so I try not to show it when he changes me. And I never asked him to change me, I would do it myself, but he wants to and occasionally pats me on my butt lightly when I do things around the apartment he will say "good girl"!  I love him and he makes sure I don't feel awkward, but it's different. Maybe I'm just nervous, I kind of want to tell him I like it, I feel better when he does this to me. But is it wrong to like it? How should I tell him I like wearing diapers and being changed by him. It's just different, I can tell he likes to treat me like this. The other day when he changed my diaper he put powder and cream on me and would sometimes leave me smelling like baby powder, and would pass by me saying, "Who's my babygirl" and would pick me up and hold me. I don't know if he's trying to make it easier on me that I have to wear them, but I think he likes to do that to me. Sometimes I catch myself acting like one around him when ...it's new to me having someone interacting with me like that.

A:

Dear Babygirl,

Be happy that your boyfriend wants to do all he can to make you feel comfortable using diapers. I would sit down with him and be honest that you like diapers and being babied at times. It's not wrong at all to have these feelings. I wish you the very best, and do write back and let me know how the doctors appointment turned out. Good Luck.

Q:

I have started, a few times, to make diapers out of towels, and use them, but only very recently. I have enjoyed the experience but my interest in diapers comes and goes a bit. My question is, am I a real diaper lover or just a little bit confused? Please help.

A:

Dear Embarrassed,

There are no rules about who is and who isn't a diaper lover. But basically a diaper lover is one who enjoys wearing and/or using diapers. If that's you, then your a diaper lover. Don't be afraid to be who you are. Take care.

Q:

I am now married and I still wear diapers on some occasion but I am breast feeding. Is this wrong or what should I do about it?

A:

Dear Baby Tim,

Your both adults. As long as you are both willing, there is nothing wrong with that. Take care.

Q:

I want to quit bedwetting at night. I usually do this on purpose but sometimes by accident. I wear cloth diapers with plastic pants. Will I need to have myself repotty trained? I'm not sure where to buy training pants to fit me, a 38" waist. I do enjoy the diapers and plastic pants but want to quit.

A:

Dear Ray,

You will most likely need to re-potty train yourself after being in diapers for so long. There are many places that sell adult training pants. I would do a search for "Adult training pants" and check out the sites suggested. We also have a "Quit bed wetting program" on the site here which is located at: http://www.bedwettingabdl.com/FreeStopBedwetterProgram.html. Good luck.
