Question Asked By: Diaperedat16
Age: 16

Q:

No one knows I wet the bed, and I know that my parents would
get very mad at me for it. They never understand anything and look for every way possible to yell at me for something. Could my bedwetting be stress related? I am trying to do both college and high
school at once, and am active in 2 church clubs, 1 community club and 2 school clubs. I also have a part time job. Am I doing to much? I try very hard to spend a lot of time away from home so that I avoid my parents and younger brother. But I don't know what to do. And I don't know why I started wetting the bed.

A:

Dear Diaperedat16,

There are many different reasons why people start to wet the bed.  And yes stress can be one of them.  From all the activities that you have listed it might be a factor but without seeing a doctor you can't be sure. Is there any way you can lighten your load a little?
Perhaps if you gave your self a chance to breath your body wouldn't go on strike. I always encouraged my kids to participate in clubs, sports and other activities and or jobs but you are too young to be
burned out at 16. It could be the whole source of your problem- just try it and see.  Lighten your load.  You can always rejoin later if you wish. Try a lighter schedule and see if less stress equals drier nights.
You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. I wish you luck.

Question Asked By: Devin
Age: 15

Q:

My mom caught me wear diapers one day and she spanked me. I
needed them for bed/day time wetting. I tried to tell her but she does
not listen. What should I do? I am 15.

A:

Dear Devin,

If you have a genuine need to wear the diapers you need to have a talk with your mom. Gather as much info as you can from the internet on wetting.  It is very common in teen boys by the way. Sit her down show her the info and ask her to take you to a doctor.  Tell
her you do not go into this lightly.  That you have a problem and need her help. Have the doctor see if there is a medical reason- for my son it was a immature bladder no specific reason.  Basically his body had a growth spurt and his bladder didn't. Talk to her honestly- she might surprise you. She probably got angry that day because she was surprised and confused. I wish you luck. We are here for you if you need support.

Q:

Hello:)

I have been wetting the bed for a week now, I use Libero XL plus 15-30 kg. My weight is 47 kg, but the diaper isn't too small, but a little. I was wandering do you think I should change to a new diaper brand, I love baby diapers with pattern on so do you where I can get a diapers with pattern on? Thank you for listing :)

A:

Dear Tim,

Unfortunately the bigger sizes of diapers have no designs on them. But we do have a solution for you. On our main site we sell diaper tapes.  They are baby print tapes that you put across the top of your diaper (just like the popular baby brands do).  We have
various designs to choose from.  This way you get the protection and the baby style at the same time. The link to that is :
http://tapes.homestead.com/index.html  So Check it out and see if there is any thing you like.

Question Asked By: Luke
Age: 15

Q:

recently I visited my Aunt's house and stayed there to visit for like 4 days.  On Sunday I went with them to church and I went to sunday school with my cousin. I was in the room for 5 minutes when
1 of the teachers came up to me and asked me what my name was and how I came to be there...then she said will you come with me and she walked me down the hall to the baby room and told me you need to stay in here our rules are state law you need to stay in here if you are not toilet trained. I was so embarrassed, Was that right... can they do that?

A:

Dear Luke,

I do not know which state you live in but there is no law that says if you wear a diaper you have to be in a certain place or room. If that were true where were all the elderly of that congregation that use
protection? Because you know they were some there. Like the woman said it was 'their' rules.  For whatever reason that church seems to be prejudice agaisnt diapered individuals. Imagine that a house of God that is intolerant. Don't worry Luke you are okay and God loves you just as you are I guarantee it!

Question Asked By: Steve
Age: 18

Q:

What do I do if I spend the night at a friends house and he/she finds out that I wear diapers?

A:

Dear Steve,

If this person is a best friend maybe then would be a good time to tell them about your wetting. Since you said you have been wetting your entire life you could explain that it is a physical/medical problem and can't be helped. There are many people who have little
difficulties they have to deal with in life- braces, glasses, and diapers- they are all in the same category. Hopefully your friend will understand and if not- it's time to get a new friend. I wish you luck.

Question Asked By: Lottie
Age: 19

Q:

How do I get help?

A:

Dear Lottie,

You don't mention exactly what it is you need help with. If it is support you are looking for- we can help you with that.  If there is any other situation you could perhaps talk to your physician, a trusted
friend/family member or clergy.  I am sure there is help for whatever the problem is. Sometimes when we are in the middle it is hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Reach out to someone you trust and let them know what the problem is. If we can help in any way- just let us know. Remember always there is someone out here who cares about you!

Question Asked By: Zack
Age: 15

Q:

Hi my name is Zack and I have been having a problem. My mom and sister know I wet the bed and when they took me to the doctor she said that I should wear incontinent briefs but now I wet so much that I leak so I was wondering what type of diaper would be thick enough to hold heavy wetting? Thanks.

A:

Dear Zack,

What you are talking about is quite common, a low fluid capacity diaper. What you need is a more absorbent product.  You have a few options.  You can use a diaper stuffer (a pad of absorbent material) or
switch to a more absorbent diaper. We have found that just for volume Molicare and Uniquebriefs are excellent.  There are many good products on the market. Many mail order companies offer sample packs where you can sample what they offer and then order
what better suits your needs. I hope your search leads you to a drier night. On our main site we have a link to quite a few diaper sources.  Check them out.  Good luck.

Question Asked By: Phil
Age: 18

Q:

I have recently start going out with a girl. and I have told her I sometimes wet the bed, well she wants to know if I will sleep
without a diaper on when I sleep with her. She then also wants to help me use the diaper to it's full content. What would you advise
doing? Also she likes to keep me in the wet diapers for ages and ages until they leak.

A:

Dear Phil,

What you should do is really a matter of preference. If what she is suggesting is comfortable to you then I see no reason why you can't go along with it. My only objection would be to being in the diapers for long periods of time- diaper rash is quite painful. If however you are uncomfortable with her suggestions then don't do it.  Never do things to make someone else happy. You have to live your life after all.  Be happy.

Question Asked By: Diapered bottom girl
Age: 15

Q:

I have a disorder that does not allow me to use my arms at all.  Also my bedwetting from kidney reflux has ruined my bladder.
Every morning my mom pas my butt and always says- baby looks like someone made a messy in their daippy!- I hate it when she does
that and she picks me up and takes off my diaper and leaves me in
the house while she gets dressed and leaves me naked.  You see my family lives out of the country and my moms the only one I have here. Then she has this belief that diapers should be thick, (I'm 4"8 to let you know and my mom is 6"1) so when I have it on I can't walk.  She always emphases the words- butt, diaper, changing.  What should I do? the doctors say that, my bladder will never recover and my mom believes I have no say in the world except being a baby.

A:

Dear diaperedbottom girl,

I am sorry to hear about your condition. Perhaps you could talk to your Mom about your diapers- the thickness, leaving you bare in the AM and so on. Maybe if she knew that you were uncomfortable she might change some of the ways she did things. Let her know that you are getting older and are not a baby anymore and need to be treated more like an adult- even though your body is not cooperating. I hope the open discussion will help things between you and your Mom. Good luck.

Question Asked By: Smokey
Age: 21

Q:

Hey girl how are things? Well I guess the problem I have is not really a huge one, but I certainly want to get it cleared up. See I LOVE
camping, I do almost every outdoor sport, I just love being outside. However with my accidents, it can cause a few problems. I just
got back from a trip, and here in the northwest it gets cold at night,
and a wet sleeping bag doesn't insulate really well, so protections necessary. However I really don't want to my buddies to know, and I
really, REALLY don't want my scouts to find out. Last night was kind of
funny, cause I only do two man tents, and I was trying to tape in, and it wasn't easy.

Actually I'm sure if someone else had been watching it would've been pretty funny. I was only with my buddy last night, but I don't know, do you have any tips for outdoor enthusiast's with enuresis? Also sometimes I wake up screaming and that may be all well and good at home, alone in my room, but it scares other people, you know. Anyway, anything you can advise would be helpful. Thanks,

Bear Hugz
Smokey

A:

Dear Smokey,

It can get a little nippy at night can't it. You need to stay dry to stay warm. So how to diaper and be anonymous.... I know some who are able to pre-tape their diapers and pull them up like underwear (no
noise) Another friend of mine uses cloth at night (of course he has an RV and can launder) You could also keep a small toiletry bag with Velcro next to you and as you are changing attribute the noise to "I'm just getting something out of my bag" that is if anyone asks. As for the screaming- just be honest and say I have nightmares and sometimes scream- sorry.  They might chose to give you your own tent. I hope I've given you some ideas. Stay dry and warm!

Q:

Hi my name is Ryan and I am 14 I all sudden have the urge to
wear diapers and when ever I think about diapers I wet my self and my whity tighties start to leak and I have to hide them so my mother does not find out and I don't want to tell her. She is starting to ask me where all my underwear is going and I told her pokemon whitey tightie got stolen. I don't know what to do help???

A:

Dear Ryan,

I am not sure why it is you are wetting. Perhaps this is something you should tell your mother- only the wetting part, not the wanting to wear diapers part. She might want to take you to your doctor to be
checked out.  My son had the same problem- it turned out to be a weak bladder.  He outgrew it- no problem. At the very least you wouldn't have to try to explain all the missing undies. Try talking to her.  Mom's get understanding when your health is the issue.  Let us

Q:

My mommy wants me out of diapers but I still want to wear them.  What do I do

A:

Dear John,

Your mommy thinks you are old enough to be out of diapers. She doesn't understand that you like them. So for as long as you still wet she will probably keep trying. If you have a aunt/uncle you are close to maybe you can talk to them and tell them how you feel. I hope you know we care about you. Good luck.

Question Asked By: Matt
Age: 14

Q:

I always wet at night and then I started wetting in the day 2 years
ago. The Dr. thinks I may have a problem with the nerves and says I
probably always will have to wear diapers. Im in puberty and sort of got to where I like the feeling of diapers and wondered if that happens to other kids that have to wear them?

A:

Dear Matt,

It happens a lot.  You are normal in case you were wondering. You like the feel of the diapers because it reminds your inner brain of sensations you had as a baby. As a baby you were adored and loved - who wouldn't want that sensation back! It is all a sensory thing. At least that is my opinion anyway.

Question Asked By: Brent
Age: 35

Q:

Hello; this is Brent again. I'm still wetting every night and
occasionally during the day. My doctor wants to do a "Prostiva RF Therapy" procedure to see if that helps with my wetting problems it doesn't sound too pleasant of a thing to have done, have you ever heard of this or how effective it is? Also he thinks the arthritis in my back due to passing out from dehydration may also be part of the problem. Any advice or support would be appreciated. Thank you.

A:

Dear Brent,

There have been great results from the Prostiva RF therapy.  It is a minimal invasive procedure- better than surgery, little side effects and improvement can be seen sometimes within 1-2 weeks.

As you know Prostiva RF therapy is a treatment for a enlarged prostate.  In the past they would have to do surgery with all the risks.  This new treatment involves inserting two needles up your urethra to your prostate. They then use radio frequency energy to heat
the inside of the prostate causing it to shrink and unblocking the urinary channel. No incision and none of the complications that go along with surgery. I wish you the best outcome and will be praying for you. Let us know how it goes.

I 21 I started wetting the bed 2 years ago. I need your help. One night I woke up and my bed was wet and I put matress cover on my
bed to help. I was wandering if I needed wear protection? If so tell what kind- I am 32 inch waist I weight 165.

A:

Dear friend,

The first thing I suggest you do is see a docotr and make certain there is no medical problem for your wetting.  That aside there are many products out there to chose from to help you.  If you are consistently wetting I would consider wearing an adult product at
night as well as using the mattress protector. Two companies that I would recommend are Molicare and Uniquebriefs.  They both have excellent absorbancy and hold up well. You can visit their websites and order a small pack and see if you like them.  I wish you luck.

                            sincerly austin

A:

Dear Justin,

It is good to have a mattress protector.  You need to also see a physician to determine if there is any serious medical reason for your wetting.  That aside you can try the usual tricks to have a dry night: limited liquid before bed, go to restroom before bed. And there is of course the option to wear a absorbant product.  They have products ranging from pads up to diapers. You know how serious your wetting is and what product might suit your needs.  There are many good on-line companies that offer sample packs that you could try. Perhaps try a few and see which product is right for you.  I wish you luck in your search.

Q:

It's me Matt again. My mom thinks im weird because she sees me sometimes when I get an erection after I wet so she knows that I like
the feeling. Does this happen because of puberty or am I just weird?

A:

Dear Matt,

You are not weird.  It does sometimes happen partially due to puberty. But to be honest even baby boys do the same thing when they get changed. It is a normal reaction to stimulus. So it is just one of those odd facts- so relax and just be normal.

Question Asked By: Jason
Age: 14

Q:

No one knows I wet the bed and I want to keep it that way. Where is a place where I can get free samples of protection stopping me from wetting the bed?

A:

Dear Jason,

You are asking for something that does not exist. Unfortunately while there are many good products out on the market none are free.  Quite a few of the bigger online suppliers offer sample packs that are real inexpensive for you to try out their brands but you still have to pay a minimum cost.  I would suggest saving allowance money, money from odd jobs etc and perhaps either buying one of these sample packs or getting a small pack of diapers in your size from the
drug store and trying those. I wish you luck.

Question Asked By: Willy
Age: 21

Q:

How long do you stay in a poopy diaper?

A:

Dear Willy,

You need to change as soon as you can.  To stay in a soiled diaper can lead to a painful rash. If you can help it- no longer than an hour. As always remember to wash thoroughly, dry and use a powder to soothe the skin. (sorry that's the mom side of me talking) Hope that answers your question.  Stay well.

Is it normal for me to wear protection during the day? Because
I am afraid that day time accident may occur.

A:

Dear Janice,

It is entirely normal to wear diapers during the day if you need them.  Sometimes if you wet at night you can have daytime accidents too. You did have one of your option as stating that you use meds- I would mention the daytime wetting to your doctor on your next visit to him.  He might have some ideas for you to try.  I wish you luck.  Stay dry!

Q:

Hello I don't just wet the bed, I wear diapers 24/7 do to incontinence because of the med's I take for extreme vertigo. My
question is I've been in diapers 3 years and I try to keep them changed and stay dry. But sometimes I still get a diaper rash. I've tried all the diaper rash creams but none seem to really work. Can you tell me a good thing to use for diaper rash like I said I've tried them all thanks. Johnny

A:

Dear Johnny,

You do seem to be doing what you need to but I'll review the steps.  Change as often as you can. Wash and dry well. Use corn starch powder and no cream- perhaps using creams are creating too moist an environment.  Try that for a while and see if that helps- corn starch powder is very absorbent.  If a rash starts use Balmex immediately.  Also if possible sit on a waterproof pad with your posterior exposed to air and give your skin some 'air' time. Keeping things under wraps is no good either.  Please write back and let me know how you are doing.

Is it true people with ADD ADHD wet the bed more, and I wear pampers diapers size is that what I should wear.

A:

Dear Nick,

All sorts of people wet the bed.  Just because someone has ADD or ADHD doesn't mean they wet more than someone else. Everyone is different. The same goes for the size of diaper they wear. There are many different kinds of diapers with different features.  If the
Pampers are good for you then  I see no problem with them. Whatever helps you to stay dry is a good choice. Stay happy.

A:

Dear Len,

I am not aware of any diaper with Snoopy on it. Snoopy is a registered logo and would have to be authorized by the parent company to be used on any product.  We have a good database of companies that carry diapers.  We also have our own line of diaper

Dear Austin,

You didn't say what it is you need help with exactly. So in a general sense I will answer this way- if you are unsure as to why you are wetting I would first suggest going to a doctor.  Make sure there is no underlying reason for your wetting. If all checks out then you can come back to us and we have an excellent  starter database of diaper companies to order from.  Also if you wished to reach out to other individuals as yourself we also have a penpal database and a

Question Asked By: Jordan

Q:

My name is Jordan and Im 13. I want to wear goodnites and
diapers because I sometimes wet my pants just a little. Im afraid to tell my mom in fear of her making fun of me and taking away sports. I don't wet a lot and when I do wet I end up soiling my pants in the next day or two from being mad. Should I tell my mom when it happens and show her it or should I keep it a secret?

A:

Dear Jordan,

In a previous post you had mentioned wanting to wear and not knowing how to tell your mother- well here is how you tell her.  You need to tell her about your problem (I would anyway). She might take you to a doctor and have you checked out.   At any rate it might be suggested that you wear pull-ups diapers or another similar diaper.  Minimal protection, fully sanctioned by a doctor no less and no explaining to mom.  Of course that is a best case scenario.  They also prescribe pills and other things but even so you could still get diapers and she still couldn't yell at you. "Mom I need them.  The pills make my stomach feel sick." Well I do wish you luck and stay healthy. In your case you probably have what my son had- a weak
bladder.  Just thought you want to know.
